Gravatar Tutorial

Yikes!

I’m going to give you a second to soak in that picture and to no longer be frightened.  Ok…now that that is over, I am going to explain to you what a Gravatar is and why you should get it.  The definition on the gravatar website is: “A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an avatar image that follows you from blog to blog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites.”  This probably does not mean a thing to you, but in a basic sense, it makes it so that if you do this 1 minute process, you can have your picture show up on this blog (and many others), rather than a blank image next to your name on comments.

Simply go here and follow the instructions.

Then, simply upload a picture.  Make sure you select “G” rating so you can show up on everyone’s blog.  I recommend making it a faceshot since it will be a small image.  I also recommend not making a face like the picture I have put above. 🙂

It will take you less time to get the gravatar then you spent reading this tutorial.  Do it.
